TAKEN! OOC PLOTTING
This is a plotting post to get to know your groups and plot with other players! The info post for March's kidnapping plot may be found HERE. Although threads while in captivity and during the rescues are limited to characters within their own groups, there will be opportunities to thread with other characters, as well!
As far as abductions go, extremists will approach characters in a number of ways: asking for their help, surprise ambushes, etc. For the most part, these attempts will not be out in the open, but it's flexible otherwise. Characters can come up with their own scenarios and plan outside of their groups for kidnapping threads! In the end, they will be knocked out and taken away, with more details to come later. Hostage characters will be tricked or forced to wear a magical object that completely nerfs their powers, and this object cannot be removed.
All characters, including those who did not sign up for a plot role, may still participate in other ways. They may, for example, be witnesses to and fail to prevent another's kidnapping, spread the word around town about the incidents, and provide medical and emotional support to both hostages and rescuers. Everyone will need a bit of cheering up!
We have provided headers for each group for your convenience, but these are not exclusive to only members of that group. You may also make your own toplevel if you prefer.

Mephisto Pheles | Hostage
Mephisto is definitely going to be fitted with something to limit his powers, since he'd just be teleporting away otherwise. But since he has a pretty high pain tolerance anyway, he'll still be able to take a pretty serious beating even without his ability to self-heal, and will probably stay mostly functional/mouthy even to the point of near-death.
THAT SAID: since there is a pretty high possibility of Mephisto's torture being a little traumatizing for the other characters, I am 100% okay with having him be conveniently out of sight or in a separate room if you don't want your character to deal with it! This also goes out to rescuers, too! Right now, I'm thinking he'll probably die from his injuries after being rescued, which means he'll be in pretty bad shape if/when they come...

At a certain point, he might even just decide to drop his act and be like "Oh it's because I'm a demon. This isn't the worst thing that's been done to me."

But he shouldn't die during transit! I say "die from his injuries" but assuming he's able to have the power limiter removed after being saved, his powers will heal him from most of them. But his body will be so damaged, he'll overtax his powers while his body is already weak, causing it to start breaking down-- and that's what will eventually kill him.

Sounds like that'll be a super awful death to witness and I'm down for Justice to do it while he flails and tries to find a healer.
How obvious is his demon-ness? Justice won't get the vibe that he's like demons back home (which are basically the same species as Justice, but don't say that to his face), but he'd still get his hackles up if he announces that he's a demon.

As for his demon-ness: he has pointed ears and crazy sharp teeth, and his eyes are bright green with cat-like pupils, but aside from that, the most obvious thing will be that he'll still be alive despite how terrible his injuries are... but then, he also might explain that by just casually saying he's a demon, oops.

Actually, I had a horrible idea for these two... what if, at some point during the rescue, the last fatal wound Meph receives is one he gets while protecting Slaine? Just fuckin' dives in front of him when some kidnapper goes for a sneak-attack.
