( october 2017 plot write-up and ooc plotting post pt. 1 )

October's plot progression will be posted in THREE parts. Only the last part will be a formal event log, so players are free to take the information provided in these plot write-ups and plan their own threads. Characters will also have a choice to make. What will they do after learning about or experiencing these events? Please note that you YOU MAY ONLY SIGN UP FOR ONE CHOICE. This post will also function as a plotting post! THE ATTACK     Nobody, not even those most in tune with Olympia's underground, could have predicted the attack that will befall Olympia on the morning of the 1st of October. It's a busy time in the Market district, and that is likely why this group strikes when it does. A loud, thundering BOOM can be heard from the center of the district, and panic ensues. What was a pleasant morning in Olympia becomes one rife with confusion and fear. It's a bomb of some sort, and within a split seconds, the immediate area surrounding the point of explosion is covered with a thick, bright purple fog. There are no injuries. The explosion merely releases this unknown purple chemical into the air. Panic turns into confusion. Natives close to the attack site report beginning to feel unwell about an hour after exposure. Their memories of the attack are hazy. The following characters were unfortunate enough to be close to the site of explosion, and will now suffer the effects: Matt Murdock Bucky Barnes (Marvel 616) Junpei Tenmyouji Cheryl Blossom Allura Juvia Lockser Gaelio Bauduin Jean-Jacques Leroy Clary Fray Wrathion Athena Cykes Sansa Stark Rocket Lucy Pevensie Sirius Black Ariadne Rose Lalonde Percival de Rolo III Riza Hawkeye They have been infected with an unknown disease, simply referred to from here on out as VIOLET2710. At the moment, there is no call for a quarantine, as Empress Simwe cannot be reached. Although authorities are concerned, there seem to be no other symptoms other than those of the common flu. Characters will experience headaches, body aches, an elevated temperature, congestion, and cough. They are advised to get rest. The illness is determined contagious, but only through bodily fluids. Whether airborne infection is possible is still undetermined. Those feeling the effects of VIOLET2710 are advised to keep a close eye on their symptoms, avoid contact with others, and alert health officials of worsening symptoms. Infected characters may sign up for a choice as outlined below, but due their compromised physical state, will not be successful in completing CHOICE 1 or CHOICE 2. THE CULPRITS     The reckless terrorist is quickly caught mere minutes after setting off the biological weapons. She is a young woman, and has protected herself from the chemical accordingly. It appears that she did not anticipate being caught, and under threat of death, even she crumbles to a hearty dose of truth serum administered by Evras. The confession tape is sent as a city-wide broadcast to every citizen's phone. Remember the Carriage Quest? The Shady Man offered quite a large sum of money to those willing to do his bidding, didn't he? That's because someone intercepted his plan, and now, thanks to the help of certain people, he was able to get back on track. That carriage driver you killed? That was not his original cargo. The carriage driver knew that these were biological weapons meant to be set off in Olympia, hijacked the cargo, and raced to find a safe place to dispose of them. With the carriage driver killed and the cargo safely delivered to the South Outpost, the original plan was set to continue. After much resistance, she is willing to give up names. Soldier: 76. Ana Amari. Jesse McCree. Rocket. Peter Quill. Archer. Giovanni Rammsteiner. Leanne. Genjo Sanzo. Norba Shino. Those are the people who delivered the weapons to us. Thanks to them, your people will suffer. This is just the beginning, assholes. The feed cuts off. Unfortunately, despite having what you may have thought were good intentions, these characters are now Wanted Fugitives within the Kingdom of Olympia for the act of treason. They will be stripped of their job title, and will now have to wear disguises around the public parts of Olympia. Multiple postings around the city will show their face, and a 10,000 silver reward to anyone who hunts them down, captures them, and brings them to Ashti. MOD NOTE: There are ways for the above characters to re-gain their job title, Olympia REP, and clear your name, but you must allow your character to be captured first. Please PM us to discuss terms! WHAT NEXT?     What will your character do, if anything at all? Please note that these choices affect the next part of this event, and may have character consequences. My character will dedicate themselves to hunting down the Shady Man and his associates, and will kill anyone caught. CHOICE 3. My character will try to find a cure for this disease at The Sanctuary or Simwe Institute and/or care for affected PCs. Please note that characters who are not employees of either business are expected to work with a current employee(s). CHOICE 4. My character will be getting infected through close contact with one of the "Patient Zero"s. CHOICE 5. My character will be assisting affected npcs and uncovering rumors surrounding the incident. You have until OCTOBER 7TH to submit your choice. You may thread and plot with people outside of your own choice. For example, Character A who signs up to help find a cure for the disease may also thread with Character B in helping them track down an associate, as well as Character C in speculating on a rumor, but for OOC purposes, only their official choice will count towards affecting the plot. HOKAY so... lance is going with choice 5:1, and throwing himself into helping out the npcs of the market district as much as he can. he's part of the royal guard that's stationed there, so this is a bit personal for him, and he's gonna be taking this real hard in that he will feel completely responsible that this all happened under his nose. (and he'd already been feeling pretty bad about stuff before, THANKS VICTARION, so.) but rather than go on a vengeance streak, he's gonna let his guilt consume him and work himself ragged trying to help the innocent people affected out as much as he can. he won't focus much on the whisperings themselves, because the people will be his main goal here, but he will keep an ear out anyway! ALSO ALSO since he would have been around when the bomb went off, he can be available for helping people who were around/affected!

that said, his housemate and castmate allura is sick, on top of a good number of other friends, so he's gonna be doing what he can to help them out too (provide supplies and food from the market, etc); he's also gonna help other castmate keith NOT DIE in his own quest for vengeance so he's gonna be a busy boy. i don't plan on him getting sick from the disease, BUT he is going to be working himself pretty hard and bottling up a whole lot of guilt and frustration at himself so if anyone would like to deal with that... hmu.... 8')c


as for izumo, she has no real investment in any of this apart from general human compassion lfmskjdalk. as much of a tsun as she is, she's going to stick to trying to play nurse for as many people as she can. i also don't anticipate her getting sick, at least not for this particular stretch, BUT IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TSUNDERE CR AND A TSUNDERE NURSE... lmk... i'm not entirely sure what to do with her outside of this, and outside of her offering these fugitives a place to stay/hide/some help because she will eventually find out that they'd been duped. :B;;; —or if any of these fugitives want a hostage, hey... she's not up to much...
