October CR Meme & Outline
|
Welcome to the October edition of our monthly outlines. Just as last month, we are keeping up with the present trend of including the CR meme alongside it. Naturally, this is open to all players. As always, outlines give players a general idea of what will be coming up in the month, and you're free to interpret it however you like. If you have any questions or would like to start threads early, please feel free to! There should not be any gamewide plot that will restrict players from pursuing their own personal plots; if there are, we will mark it! The upcoming event/intro log will go into detail and have specific prompts and scenarios you may play out, but in general, we would like players to have freedom to play whatever they like. Please look forward to that! The schedule is currently up-to-date, so please be sure to keep an eye on that as well. OCTOBER OUTLINE ![]() Week One — Event. While the poltergeists and spirits of the past still surely lurk the isles of El Nysa, it's clear that the people of Olympia and Wyver alike have shifted their focus from the supernatural to the natural. Harvest season arrives swiftly, and the whole mood of both cities seem to shift dramatically in light of nature's, or perhaps Darma's blessings. Festivities seem to carry on for the entirety of the month. However, Wyver seems a little quicker to the punch. Their harvest is complete within the first week of the month and their rituals begin swiftly after. Straight from the start, people will discover Wyver to be lively and full of life. Food stalls and their famed meat jelly seems to take center stage in these events. For the people of Wyver, this is also a time of deep connection with their dragon companions and so a fair gamut of their activities will feature more hands-on exposure to them. Blood rituals are also common practice during this period of time. They are meant to physically display a sense of solidarity in their community. As all refugees or "Thesaens" are still a hot topic of interest, many will discover Wyverns to be quite keen on sharing this aspect of their culture. Week Two — Ornate decorations will be hung around the city of Olympia. Per usual, in alignment for their genuine love of the opulent, their streets will be decorated beautifully with several of the season's "best crops" on display. Fruit liquor is a popular choice for the harvest celebrations to follow and seem to have curious, but general uplifting effects on the natives and refugees alike. But, drunken pleasures aside, there will be a large focus on togetherness and showing gratitude for ones closest companions. People trade amulets and other accessories during this period of time; however there seems to be more to this trade than initially meets the eye. If traditions aren't followed to a tee, it seems one can easily become susceptible to some less that comforting side-effects. Despite the general cheer in both cities, that isn't to state that there isn't any imminent danger that lurks in the shadows. Between both cities, a corn maze has been erected. It's said that decades ago, they first erected a maze of this kind in recognition of a truce between the two nations — however, the truce was broken when several Wyvern corpses were found on the Olympian side of the maze and vice versa. Now that the Thesaens are here, though, the people are willing to try again; in theory, getting lost in the maze and working together with your once-enemies should allow you to strengthen your bonds with them. In theory, anyway. In practice, it might still be a little dangerous… not everyone is thrilled about the prospect of working together. But it shouldn’t be anything too difficult to handle. Week Three — Potentially ill-intentioned creatures aside, there is another pressing mystery that ails south of Nadril and north of Olympia. There have been a peculiar string of disappearances from people who have headed in that general direction. However, while attempting to unearth the secrets of their whereabouts, it seems that the people of Nadril have already developed a lead as to where they could have gone. However, as it can be a potentially treacherous journey there, they are looking to the refugees to assist in paving a way there via railway— while mostly everything has a foundation, they're looking for help fine-tuning this to be able to run very soon. Will you take it upon yourself to help them achieve this? Week Four — Test Drive Meme. Just as the natives on El Nysa have adapted and become accustomed to the various changes that have plagued their lands, refugees are required to do the same even as they return to Thesa Station. As always, a new group of individuals have began to wake from their stasis pods and will need all the help they can get in order to survive. Thanks to the efforts of the refugees, however the station has regained a sense of order and now all there's left to do it to upkeep it. Naturally, there is as much to learn about Thesa (and by extension the Natha) as there is to know planetside. At the very least, you're not alone and this is made obvious with the fresh faces that are now relying on you. CR/INTRO MEME ▶ Handle. What do you go by?
