Dirk is a detective, arguably. This theoretically should be of some use, but those teamed up with him will probably swiftly discover that his methods of investigation are somewhat unorthodox. Sherlock Holmes he ain't. What he is, though, is possessed of what has been referred to 'psychic intuition' -- he gets people where they need to be, generally in the most circuitous and ridiculous way possible. This isn't intentional: he's more a tool of the universe than someone in command of an ability.

Nonetheless, if someone's in need of a (somewhat unimpressive) deus ex machina of sorts, he's your boy. He's... maybe not so good at just about anything else, though, bless his heart.

As for guesses, I'm personally feeling the Sanctuary or the Temple!
