no this makes total sense to me and i want it asap too!!! he doesn't really have that emotional connection to her save through jamie and claire so it really would just be a conversation -- a SUPPORTIVE ONE of course bc yes he does ofc understand, but he's not there to baby her or to cry about it or to judge. he carries a dagger around all the time himself bc of what happened to him and he has problems letting himself be physically vulnerable with other people too, believe him bree, he does Understand.
