COPY/PASTE: John Sheppard is fuelled entirely by over-styled hair, 80s and 90s pop culture references, ego and machismo. Yet equally, he is a contradiction. He puts up a front of laziness and disinterest, yet John regularly goes above and beyond what is required him to the point of recklessness in an effort to keep people safe. He cares a lot, is invested in the safety of everyone in Atlantis, feels personally responsible for every mistake and loss. He's smarter than he lets on, keeps emotions boiling under the surface, hurts more than he will ever easily admit and values the lives of his friends far above his own. If you want someone who can do complex math problems, name everyone who played Catwoman and yet also annihilate all of your enemies he is your guy. ▶ Desired CR. I would always love: - More people for John to argue with. He loves to bicker, either friendly bickering or angry bickering anything works - More friends to hang out with! John tends to be easy going but he can come across awkward and defensive sometimes. If your character can tolerate his stubbornness and deflection please do come hang out with him! Especially because his contacts list has taken a hit and he needs to refill it. - Space adventure folk! Come talk to him about space he love space - Military folk! John is a soldiery sort, he likes fellow soldiers - Grumpy people! John loves to ignore how grumpy you are and carry on regardless - Nosy people! He also works as a bouncer at Shades Darker to pay the bills. ▶ Game Plans. John has always lived in Olympia and isn't about to move! He's slowly working on building up a solid reputation with them & with the Natha, because Olympia is closer to the lifestyle he's used to and because he wants the Natha to let him fly something. He's likely going to start poking around taking up quests, too, and maybe more exploring! He's hoping it won't go as poorly as the escort quest he did. ▶ Event Plans. WE HAVE RODNEY MCKAY IN GAME, THIS IS NOT A DRILL. John has been on a sort of in a slow simmer of awkwardness and depression since the whole dragon debacle, but having a close canonmate in game is a great distraction so he'll be probably quickly in Olympia the first week showing him around!
He's... not... you know, good with ghosts so he probably won't willing take part in exorcisms or assisting them but I'm down for a good spook or two. If you want to get spooked accidentally, be spooked near him, plan some spookiness then hit me up! He'll also obviously play bodyguard to anyone better with ghosts who needs it. He just has no ghost-related-ability himself and... uh... the ghosts make him feel weird bad guilt feelings about the whole situation.
