Not silly at all! Olympia is much colder than Wyver being more north, and it will snow in the evenings frequently.

Wyver is usually between well above freezing during the day and just barely above at night. Olympia is barely above freezing during the day and below it at night, and it dips further on particularly cold evenings. In short: Wyver is chilly, Olympia is snowy more often than not.
